Told over the course of 3 years, the story follows Honolulu Classical Ballet through pre-pandemic performances to virtual and outdoor classes during lockdown, ending with a triumphant return to the stage for their 10th anniversary.
“IF FOUND” TATTOO
Just before turning 70, my mom, Susan Cho, got her first tattoo—not for style, but for safety.
She told tattoo artist Steven Lam, “I feel so much better knowing my family can find me.” We hope this inspires others to take proactive steps—whether through a medical alert bracelet, an iWatch, or, like Mom, a simple but meaningful tattoo.
HAWAIIAN STUDIES
Hawaiian Studies is a study of those who carry our cultural knowledge forward. At its center is Kawika Lum-Nelmida, a feather artist, and those he collaborates with—like fabric artist Marques Hanalei Marzan and Malie Andrade.

Aki & Co uses vintage chainstitch machines to create bespoke pieces with love. Her machines, one of which is over 100 years old, are controlled by a hand crank under the table and powered by a foot pedal.
