This photo is taken from my first roll of the magically mysterious Lomopurple. It’s the purple film stock from Lomography that shifts greens to purple, blue to pink, and more.

“Caroline and Maddie” was taken in early 2020 at the John Landovsky Tribute which was held in Leeward Theater in West Oahu. Mr. Landovsky was a teacher and mentor to many of the artistic directors who now own and operate ballet schools throughout Hawaii.

If you’ve ever visited the Getty Villa, it’s a timeless, tranquil Greek oasis in the Malibu hills, but when shot on Lomography's Redscale XR film it looks like a palace on Mars. The film’s deep, bold colors transformed the museum's marble columns, tiled walkways and frescoes into sinister scenes bathed in evil.

I am honored to be part of “Through the Looking Glass,” a film photography exhibition which was created in response to the rise of violence and hate directed toward the AAPI community. The thoughtfulness and intention behind this show can't be overstated.
